![]() I'm glad I've gotten a chance to play through it. It was like a single-player Secret of Mana with deeper combat and a pretty good story. Hot damn that game was a good PSX action-RPG. I found a copy of Granstream Saga at a used game store here and tried to buy it because it was criminally cheap ($4!), but it had a pretty big gouge in the disc so they wouldn't sell it to me The 4th game, Granstream Saga, is often not counted in with the rest, but Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma, and the Granstream Saga are all phenomenally good games. I fucking love Quintet's "Heaven and Earth Trilogy" and all 4 (you heard me right) of the games are amazing. Along the way the hero gains the ability to transform into two other forms a Dark Knight and being called Shadow.įor those of you who'd played Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia seems to be a spiritual successor to the game, containing a few subtle referrences to the Blazer War, a hidden boss who directly mentions Blazer, and the last boss turns out to be Dark Gaia.Įdit: Wow, I was so excited to gush about these games that I didn't even read the posts after the one I quoted. ![]() ![]() You'll travel through ancient pyramids, the Great Wall of China and mysterious Incan ruins, just to start out. As it takes place on an alternate Earth, the settings are very familiar. The game details the adventures of a boy named Will with psychic powers who journeys around the world with his friends to reach the Tower of Babel and save the world from impending doom. Another Enix classic I owned and loved, but I don't think I knew anyone else who'd even heard of it.
